WRITING RETREATS

The Life Righting Collective promotes the healing power of writing. Exploring your preoccupations and concerns through crafting memoir, fiction or poetry supports mental and emotional well-being.

These writing retreats provide a dedicated time away in a beautiful setting with fabulous vegetarian food, sumptuous accommodation and are facilitated by the award-winning author and poet, Dawn Garisch.

Please click on the tabs below for more information about the retreats.

Unlike our other courses, we are unable to sponsor participants on the retreats at present. Hopefully this will change if we are able to raise the necessary funds .

The general setting was wonderful, great access for walks along the coast, as well as in the immediate neighbourhood. J.G

Delightful, spotless public rooms that are light, bright and airy. A freestanding wood-burning fireplace in the entrance hall heats the whole establishment and the fire place in the lounge is effective and creates great atmosphere. L.S.

The food was simply extraordinary! It was innovative, textured, tasty, varied and each meal, a visual and multi-sensory delight. L.S.

The evening times of reading aloud were great: both as a source of inspiration in listening to others’ work, and also to get personal feedback. Dawn did an excellent job of facilitating and holding it all together. J.G.

By creating the safe spaces, the magical and mystical fire of creativity can burn. Thank you for the opportunity to let me pile my little logs on, you gave them space to ignite and burn. C.S.

The Life Righting Collective’s work supports mental and emotional wellbeing through life writing! With so many of us experiencing troubling times and difficulties in our lives, now, more than ever, is when we need to take good care of ourselves and nurture our creative spirits.
